Biography
A former senior intelligence and security officer with the British Army I took a curious path to journalism via a sales and marketing directorship in the steel industry to learn about business before setting up my own consultancy that ran specialist security publications for several years. Ditching the anchor they became I took the plunge into the freelance world. As a freelancer, I write for many different security, counter-terror and other outlets, host conferences and seminars (I love a good debate) and provide professional commentary for print, radio and TV. I am one of a very few journalists who has held very high-security clearances in the past. Comfortable in front of a camera, debating current affairs live on Radio or writing for online and print I have been widely quoted and published and have a global focus. Outlets have included Counter Terror Business Magazine, Security Middle East Magazine, HQ, The Home of Global Security, The Daily Telegraph, The Dail Mail, The Mail Online, BBC Mundo, BBC World Service, BBC Radio and TV, Japanese NTV, Chunichi/Tokyo Shimbun, RT, INTERPOL World TV and many more.
