Biography

I cover the intersection of technology and culture in India, a large and important market for Silicon Valley’s biggest companies, for BuzzFeed News’ global audience. My stories focus on the impact that technology has on more than a billion Indians, and are written and reported to spark off conversations on social media, and to have real-world impact by getting companies to take notice and sometimes change their policies. In 2019, I won Syracuse University's Mirror Award for my feature about a group of five that was lynched by villagers in India who believe in rumors spread over WhatsApp. If you have tips or information about anything related to tech in India, you can reach me at pranav.dixit@buzzfeed.com.
