Biography
I'm the editor-in-chief at the Child Welfare League of America, a nonprofit association focusing on child welfare policy-making, foster care, permanency, juvenile justice reform, and more. As a freelance journalist, I concentrate on cities, historic places, art and design, education, and the social sciences. I am the author of three poetry collections, a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee, and the founder/editor of the literary journal and small press Lines + Stars (www.linesandstars.com). I received my master's degree in creative writing, with a poetry focus, from the Johns Hopkins University.
