I am a multimedia journalist with close to a decade of experience in national, regional, and local newsrooms in the Philippines, specializing in digital journalism and social media management. I am currently a digital section editor for ABS-CBN News, one of the country’s leading news organizations. My tasks include gathering, writing, and editing stories for our website news.abs-cbn.com, as well as covering the administration of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the 17th and current Philippine President. I also have extensive experience in curating content and creating campaigns for the social media properties of GMA News, The Freeman, and Manila Broadcasting Company, ensuring that they get the optimal follower growth, post reach, and engagement. Other newsrooms I previously worked with include the country's newspaper of record, the Philippine Daily Inquirer. My journalism work was recognized in 2020. That year, I was given the Negros Young Heroes award for my contributions to digital community journalism in Negros Island in central Philippines. A news feature I wrote for the Inquirer on Negros teachers’ difficulties adjusting to pandemic teaching methods was a finalist for News Report of the Year in the 2020 Globe Media Excellence Awards. I obtained my master's degree in journalism from Ateneo de Manila University in 2021 as a fellow of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s Media Programme in Asia. I earned my bachelor's degree in mass communication from Silliman University in 2014, magna cum laude.
