Earth Journalism Network

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is a global organization founded in 2004 by Internews. It aims to enhance the capacity of journalists from low- and middle-income countries in covering environmental issues. EJN operates worldwide, focusing on climate change and environmental challenges. EJN offers various services, including training and mentoring programs for journalists, story grants, and fellowships to support impactful environmental reporting. The organization also conducts research to identify best practices in environmental journalism. EJN's initiatives have led to significant community mobilization and influence on government policies, with notable projects addressing issues like Amazon destruction and regional climate resiliency in the Bay of Bengal. With over 20,000 registered members, EJN has trained more than 14,800 journalists and supported the production of over 14,500 stories.
