Biography

A Carleton University graduate, Rebecca is dedicated to reporting on environmental and human interest stories. Recently, Rebecca has been writing for one of Metroland's community papers, the Orangeville Banner, as an LJI reporter. This role focuses on civic journalism so Rebecca writes about all things in Dufferin County. Working in a remote community has given Rebecca an opportunity to write about topics like agriculture, environment, forestry and homelessness. Rebecca has ample experience with audio journalism including podcasting and photography. She created the Life Skills 101 podcast for the Student Experience Office at Carleton University and was a assistant producer for The Globe and Mails The Decibel.
