An-Nahar

Annahar Newspaper, also known as An-Nahar, is a prominent Arabic-language daily newspaper based in Lebanon. Founded on August 4, 1933, by Ambassador Gebran Tueni, it is recognized as one of the oldest and most influential newspapers in the country, often compared to "Lebanon's New York Times" for its significant impact. The newspaper offers a comprehensive print edition that covers a variety of topics, including politics, social issues, and environmental news. An-Nahar was the first Arab paper to regularly address environmental issues, starting in 1997. In addition to its print edition, An-Nahar launched an online version in 2012, providing digital access to its content. The newspaper also publishes special editions, such as those focused on significant events like Lebanese elections. An-Nahar has a diverse readership, extending its influence beyond Lebanon into the broader Arab community.
