I am a Johannesburg-based journalist with 15 years of experience in traditional story telling, feature stories, breaking news journalism, B2B writing, and narrative nonfiction. In 2018 I started freelancing for clients across a variety of sectors, and I pride myself on keeping up with pop culture, current lifestyle trends and the latest in social media. That same year I founded unfiltered parenting podcast — The Great Equalizer — which I produce and present with co-host and business partner, Charlene Armstrong. Now a top-ranking local pod, The Great Equalizer feeds my love for human interest stories, women’s issues, equality and diversity, balanced debate, and honest motherhood. In recent years I’ve honed my skills in creative writing, B2B writing, digital marketing, multimedia content creation (video production and podcasts), writing for social media, writing for the web, copyediting, fact-checking and basic SEO. While running my freelance business, I am also pursuing a Masters degree in Creative Writing at The University of the Witwatersrand.
