National Constitution Center

The National Constitution Center is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to constitutional education and civic engagement. Located in Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park, it serves as a national memorial to the U.S. Constitution. Established by the Constitution Heritage Act of 1988 and opened on July 4, 2003, the Center features 160,000 square feet of public space, including interactive exhibits and galleries designed to enhance public understanding of the Constitution. The Center offers a variety of programs and resources. Its Museum of "We the People" showcases interactive exhibits and artifacts that explore constitutional history and contemporary debates. America’s Town Hall hosts live discussions with legal scholars and policymakers, promoting civil dialogue on constitutional issues. Additionally, the Center provides civic education programs, including workshops and online tools for students and educators. Its digital resources include podcasts and the Interactive Constitution platform, which allows users to explore different interpretations of the Constitution. The Center aims to foster inclusivity and understanding of democracy's evolving challenges.
