Biography

I am an investigative reporter based in Manhattan. Originally from Los Angeles, Calif., I moved to New York City in 2006 to study journalism and psychology at New York University. Since graduating from N.Y.U. in 2010, my work has been featured at Gawker, the Village Voice, ProPublica, and The Daily. In 2011, I filed a lawsuit against New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, seeking access to records concerning his controversial appointment of a publishing executive to run the city’s public schools. The case, which is still pending, has been covered by Gothamist, the New York Post, the New York Daily News, NPR, Thomson Reuters, the Associated Press, and the Wall Street Journal.
