Sidney Steele is an engagement producer at The Kansas City Star. In this role Sidney works to connect local audiences with The Star's reporting through in-person events, email newsletters and social media. Sidney holds a master's degree in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University and bachelors' degrees in Convergence Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri. Her studies focuses on media as a form of political socialization, research on satire, late night television, talk radio, and religious media. While at Mizzou, Sidney worked as a reporter and producer for KBIA News, a reporter and engagement editor for the Columbia Missourian, and has contributing reporting to PolitiFact Missouri, The Kansas City Beacon, Startland News and the Missouri Press Association.
