Sofia Hamilton is a Policy Analyst at Americans for Prosperity where she focuses on health care. Hamilton is also a Social Mobility Fellow and Contributor with Young Voices. Previously, she was a Research Associate within the Cato Institute’s Department of Health Policy Studies where she focuses on issues related to health care, poverty, housing, and welfare programs. Sofia is a graduate from the University of Miami where she majored in Political Science and History and minored in International Studies and Sociology. While at UMiami, Sofia worked with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors' Government Affairs and Policy Department to advocate for essential benefits for military families and veterans. These experiences have instilled a passion to rework the American welfare and health care systems to provide needed programs and benefits while still ensuring the financial efficiency of the government.

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a prominent political advocacy group in the United States, founded by the Koch brothers.
