Biography
“Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.” – Michael Scott I'm a journalist with a passion for all things pop culture, trending and lifestyle. Unfortunately, binge-watching 'Sex and the City' has given me unrealistic expectations of life as a writer - I’m still waiting for the day I get my own column or can buy designer shoes and cocktails without crying as I type in my pin number. I have an MA in Arts Journalism and have written for lots of well-known websites and publications, focusing on entertainment, culture and lifestyle topics, as well as all of wonderfully weird things you can find around the internet. In the words of Jess Day, “feminist rants are kind of my thing,” and I have a special interest in intersectional feminism and championing diversity in the arts and media sectors. I also have previous experience as a copywriter, PR lead and social media manager, and have worked on campaigns that have supported men to open up about their mental health, smashed period stigma, encouraged breastfeeding, championed the rights of care workers and more. In my spare time I try (and fail) at yoga, have logged an embarrassing number of hours on The Sims, watch bad true crime documentaries and forget to water the flowers on my Animal Crossing Island.
