Biography

I’m an award-winning journalist currently working for WSMV4, the NBC affiliate in Nashville, TN. Before moving to Nashville, I spent almost two years reporting and fill-in anchoring at the NBC affiliate and legacy station in Evansville, Indiana. I’ve won an Indiana SPJ First Place award for Criminal Justice reporting for a long-form story I did covering the wait in Kentucky jails for criminal psychiatric evaluations. While in the Tri-State, I covered a five-day national manhunt and spoke exclusively with one of the prisoners who was on the run from police. I’ve also reported on multiple house explosions, warehouse fires, as well as recovery efforts in Western Kentucky communities following the December 2021 tornadoes that claimed the lives of more than 50 Kentuckians. I’m a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. (Roll Terps!) While there, I won a student Capital Emmy for his reporting on an after-school lacrosse program that brought the sport to underprivileged communities. I graduated from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, and also achieved a Minor in Music Performance as a classical percussionist. I’m originally from Warwick, New York. I grew up watching the top market in television news. Although I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in sports, I pivoted to dedicate his work to impacting the lives of those in the communities I cover.
