TLC

TLC, formerly known as the Tammy Lynn Center, is a nonprofit organization based in North Carolina, established in 1969 by three families to support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the years, TLC has expanded significantly and now operates from a nine-acre campus in Raleigh, serving nearly 400 individuals each year. The organization is dedicated to empowering people of all abilities through community-integrated care, education, and therapy. TLC provides a wide range of services, including 24/7 residential care for individuals with profound disabilities, therapeutic services such as physical and speech therapy, and early childhood intervention programs. They also offer community living support, day programs for adults focused on development, and family support initiatives. Recent developments include the completion of a $9 million Residents Village project and a state grant to enhance services through the Family Connect initiative. TLC serves children, adults, and families throughout North Carolina's Triangle region, addressing various needs from early intervention to adult residential care.
