Biography
Gimba is a diplomat, legislative drafter and public policy expert from Yobe State. He has previously served as Legislative Advocacy Liaison Officer at the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) after working as Legal Officer at Hexalix Properties Limited. This followed a stint as a corporate and property law practitioner. Gimba is a cofounder of the Yobe Literary Society and was its first curator. He now serves on its Board of Trustees. He was a co-organizer and co-hosted the first book and arts festival in the northeast – the Yobe Peace and Arts Festival (YOPAFEST). In 2021, Gimba published his first book "the Howls on the Highway to Hell" and co-authored the book "iWrite: an Essential Guide to Writing in the 21st Century". He loves to play chess and analyze football matches in his free time.
