Biography

Chaz Ebert — writer, publisher, and wife of the late critic Roger Ebert — once called me "a hipster scientist and film critic." I am a science writer and editor with a passion for positioning scientific research within its social context. I have led multiple teams of journalists at international publications toward creating premiere resources for accurate information on emerging technologies. I am comfortable writing for both general and expert audiences with a goal of making complex ideas understandable and engaging for readers. I am eager to rejoin the newsroom to bring a socially conscious perspective to critical issue like climate change and genome editing. I completed my PhD in Biochemistry in 2023.
