Tanbirul Miraj Ripon is a Bangladeshi independent journalist and film producer who has worked with AFP, The Economist, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, CNN, The New Humanitarian, NBC, EPA, and at least five others. He regularly covers Rohingya Refugees, Conflict, Politics, Human Rights, Genders, Climate Change, Cross-Border Security, and South Asia's golden triangle. Miraj's work appeared on CNN's Amanpour Hours and BBC's Our World. Ripon is widely known for his coverage of Rohingya and Northern Rakhine and his interviews with Prof Noam Chomsky and Prof Slavoj Zizek. He received his Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Media studies from Port City International University Chittagong and is currently pursuing a professional master's in Peace Conflict and Human Rights from Bangladesh University of Professionals. AFP recognised Ripon's Photo as the world's best picture of 2021.
