Biography

Hi! I am a Contributing Editor for Edutopia (George Lucas Educational Foundation), the Fiction and Creative Non-Fiction Editor for the literary journal Raising Mothers, and a budding photographer. A graduate of Rutgers University and University at Albany, I have worked as an editor, contributing writer, and blogger. Before pursuing a career as a writer, I was a high school English/Language Arts teacher, assistant professor, instructional coach, and educational consultant. My writings have been published by The Huffington Post, Calmgrove, Literary Mama, Memoryhouse, Neworld Review, and Random Sample Review. I published my first book of poetry, Every Watering Word, through Wasteland Press (2017). Currently I am revising several children’s books and a middle grade novel that I hope to publish one day soon.
