Biography
I am a creative writer, journalist & copywriter. My interest in the media industry is concerned with providing value in a world that is obsessed with mass-produced content. I draw on my core values of sustainability and slow living to produce work that is meaningful, driven and has purpose. I aim to educate and transform with the power of the written word, while still retaining beauty and simplicity in the language. I hold a Bachelor of Communications in Public Relations & Expressive Arts from Wellington’s Massey University with a background that spans news journalism, marketing & media, event management & production and creative writing. My work in the media and creative industries has been intrinsically intertwined with the fashion industry. This love for creativity extends through self-expression and into fashion as just one representation of art. I have worked closely in event production, including New Zealand Fashion Week and producing shows for Trelise Cooper, Juliette Hogan, and Zambesi. My work has also extended to the realms of styling and shoot assistance and producing a small-scale line of hand-knitted jumpers. Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoys creating pottery, sunrises & sunsets with good company and a glass of red wine.
