Biography

Ty Storey serves as a Digital Content Producer on the News4 Digital Team, which is responsible for WTVY.com and News4's social media and other digital platforms. A native of Cedar Bluff in Cherokee County, Alabama, Ty joined WTVY in June 2022 after a nine-year career in radio in on-air and producer roles. His media career began in August 2013 at the University of Alabama's student-run WVUA-FM, with him going on to work at WKEA in Scottsboro as a part-time producer and on-air talent. Ty later joined WEIS in Centre, Alabama, where he served from 2016-2022 as a producer for live-on-location and sports broadcasts, a contributor to the station's scoreboard show, the lead commentator for the station's high school basketball broadcasts and an overnight on-air host. Alongside his news writing and broadcasting experience, Ty also works as a graphic designer, with his work being featured through independent projects as well as during his time at WEIS and at WTVY.
