Biography
Tyler Davis is a senior set to graduate in December from American University with a degree in journalism and literature. This summer they will an intern at The Current via the Dow Jones News Fund business reporting program. Previously, they interned at DC Witness, a non-profit newsroom dedicated to covering crime at the D.C. Superior Courthouse. During their time there, they helped to provide necessary coverage of violent crime trials and helped to compile datasets tracking trends in crime data across the District. While at AU, they worked as The Eagle's news managing editor, overseeing coverage of Title IX violations, on-campus voyeurism cases and the university's budget deficit. They oversaw a team of 5 section editors and 20 reporters through the regular production of content relevant to the university community and surrounding neighborhoods. They also oversaw the writing, editing and publishing of breaking news stories.
