Biography

I am a Filipino expat residing in Dubai, UAE, since 2007. My professional journey began at PC Magazine Middle and Near East, where I started as a Junior Reviewer. In this role, I meticulously analyzed and reviewed various consumer gadgets, crafting reviews published online and in the magazine. Thanks to my dedication and skills, I quickly progressed to the position of Senior Reviewer. This promotion brought additional responsibilities, such as writing and proofreading articles and collaborating with the Art Director in designing magazine pages. During a brief period, I served as a Technical Support Officer, handling diverse IT-related tasks, including server management, software troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance. I also oversaw other computer peripherals within the organization. Subsequently, I transitioned to Technical Editor at the same magazine. In this capacity, I provided insightful articles, conducted gadget and peripheral testing, covered local and international events, and conducted interviews with notable personalities and industry leaders for publication. Later, I joined Mizany.com, a video review website specializing in comprehensive English and Arabic reviews of the latest consumer gadgets and technology. Continuing my career path, I became an E-Marketing Consultant for a hospitality establishment, where I managed website content and provided social media consultations and engagement. Following that, I joined Media International Services Gulf as an Online Editor for the Middle East edition of T3 (Tomorrow's Technology Today). In this role, I moderated discussions and wrote and published the website's technology reviews, news articles, and opinion pieces. Since June 2021, I have worked as a Regional PR Copywriter for Huawei Consumer Business Group. In this position, I actively collaborate with the PR team to develop content for upcoming product launches and business-related press releases. Additionally, I contribute to conceptualizing PR plans for new Huawei products to be introduced in the Middle East region. Afterwards, I transitioned to a Creative Copywriter role at an advertising agency. I crafted English copy for various media formats, including social media, display banners, emailers, SMS campaigns, websites, and mobile apps. Currently, I am a Content Writer for a global recruitment company. However, I remain open to opportunities in content creation, journalism, or any media-related field that aligns with my expertise and passion.
