Biography

Wandiswa Ntengento is a South African freelance writer, news anchor, journalist and founder of Magic Wand Media. In 2011, she started her career in journalism at Mdantsane community radio station as English news anchor, reporter, part time producer and mentor for news anchors. Ntengento currently works as a Cub Journalist at BBC News in Johannesburg. Today, she is working as a news anchor at Link FM Christian radio station on the breakfast show. She is a trained camera operator at Trinity Broadcasting Network Africa, freelances for various online and print publications and works as correspondent communication officer for a Geneva based organisation called International Alliance of Women, an organisation that promotes the human rights of women and girls around the world. Ntengento is currently completing an undergraduate qualification in journalism through Walter Sisulu University which she is due to complete next year. She is one of 19 Journalism students in South Africa to be selected for the 2014 Future Journalist Programme run by Rhodes University and Highway Africa.
