Biography
Winston Mwale is a journalist turned media consultant-cum-online information marketer who loves telling stories, listening to stories and being in the middle of stories. A former primary school teacher, Winston is Chief Sub Editor for Zodiak Broadcasting Station, a privately-owned media organization in Malawi. He has interviewed dozens of prominent figures, including CEOs, ministers and the Vice President of Malawi, Dr. Saulos Chilima. A holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Winston’s career has spanned many countries, with the highlights including reporting live from Brussels during the EU-Africa Leaders’ Summit in 2014, being in Naivasha, Kenya, covering a training of journalists on anti-smoking, and covering the annual Chewa Kulamba Ceremony in Zambia. Trained in investigative journalism by Reuters Thomson Foundation during the Wealth of Nations Programme, Winston now helps clients master media interviews, speak more confidently in public and tell better stories, including training intermediate journalism and writing. To date, Winston holds a number of media awards, including the 2015 SADC Radio Journalists of the Year, and over 5 MISA Media Awards.
