Biography

I'm a biologist-turned-journalist specializing in documentary filmmaking and health and science reporting. I care about making science and information accessible, relatable and actionable. ​I am developing my beats on psychological trauma and my filmmaking on character-based vignettes.​​​ I'm interested in covering the intersection of health and social issues, and in reporting on the SWANA region and its diasporas. I speak English, Arabic and French. ​ I recently finished a remote production internship with Radical Media where I worked on outreach and crowdsourcing for PBS American Portrait and edited video reels for social media.
