Biography

Investigative Journalist whose work on the assassination attempts on Russian opposition leaders Alexey Navalny and Boris Nemtsov contributed to two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Investigative Report and Outstanding Research: News, as well as the Nannen Prize for Investigative Journalism and the Documentari Inchieste Giornalismi - DIG Award for Best Investigative Medium. I started my career as a staff writer for the Bulgarian outlet TerminalNO, and subsequently became its managing editor. The media explored in depth topics related to US-Russia relations, EU Affairs, political corruption, and the Kremlin influence in the region. In 2019 I became analyst and contributor to Bellingcat, where I worked on several projects related to the clandestine activities of Russia. In 2022 I joined the BBC where I participate in the making of documentary investigations.
