Every industry appears saturated with aspiring individuals eager to demonstrate their capabilities, however as with any saturation there comes a loss of originality, making it ever more difficult to determine true quality. I begin with that statement because I want it to be made clear that I am aware of this and thus I strive to be able to offer something different and evermore valuable. In my opinion a pairing of academic excellence and a diverse life and employment experience in the formative years are the conditions required to be an optimum candidate for any role. With such in mind I have for the last decade been developing these credentials. I have a determined, passionate desire to succeed in any area I find myself within and a sense of moral obligation to deliver clarity to those who are unable to see or ignorant of the world we live in, whether the decision be conscious or otherwise, this is who I am. I try to be equipped to be able to solve any possible problem that may arise whether that be fibre glassing a flat roof, analysing and editing a dissertation, or attempting to secure my good friends legitimacy to remain in the UK despite Home Office negligence - all of which I have done during the past year. Ostensibly I aim to be as rounded a person as I possibly can be while also striving to be above and beyond what is expected in each of these areas. In my degree I have developed excellent analytical and etymological skills proven by my mark of 75 in my dissertation. My successful exam record also aids this notion providing indication of my first rate organisation, preparation, timekeeping, and knowledge retention. I love investigative journalism and jump at the chance whenever it arises in my current role. This is not because of some whimsical rose tinted view of the furrowed brow, stone faced, trench coat wearing private eye but because the exercise itself stimulates me academically like nothing I have come across before. I relish pouring over figures to create new perspectives of analyses. Just as much as I relish sheltering from the tear gas fired in my general direction on one of my stays in Bethlehem. What I am trying to say is information is the greatest tool in our society, regardless of the means and ends, and as I have grown up I realise how much information is not available to us, or it is and we are simply ignorant to its existence. I live and breath digesting that information and evolving it into practical, coherent formats to share with those who have a right to know. In addition to my academic skills my various practical means of employment have evolved my practical abilities in a variety of areas such as construction and tree surgery. While this appears non related at the very least the customer relations and problem solving involved have enabled a tangible difference in my abilities. In addition all employment heightens your level of experience and thus to have gained in employment in various fields can only be beneficial.
